A Gentle Adjustment
The quiet space around me was entirely white and still. I stood with my hands resting firmly against my hips, exactly as I had been positioned. Carefully, I decided to test whether I could move. I lifted my right hand from my waist, pausing for a moment to feel the weight of my arm in the open air. Slowly and methodically, I reached up and nudged the black frame of my glasses higher onto the bridge of my nose. The frame shifted smoothly under my fingertips. The view became perfectly clear, and I returned my hand back to my side, ready to observe.
