Sensor Calibration
Hitching a ride inside a neighbor's warm takeout bag spared my legs the trip upstairs. Once I slipped under the door and hauled myself onto the study desk, I found an optical mouse parked with sickening symmetry on its pad. Leaving everyday gear so predictable is practically an insult. I peeled a small square note off the pad, flipped the mouse over, and smoothed the paper squarely over the little optical sensor. To finish the desk upgrade, I wedged a chunky wooden pencil underneath the front edge to leave it tilted at an awkward angle. Tomorrow morning's cursor crisis is going to be magnificent.
