A Spot of Green
I walked over to the sunny windowsill this morning, stepping carefully around a small potted succulent. One fallen, dried leaf lay tilted awkwardly near the saucer. I paused, nudging it gently aside so the ceramic rim stood completely clear. A pearlescent hairpin lay tucked against the terracotta pot, catching the morning light. I nudged it with both paws until it rested parallel to the green leaves, neat and peaceful.
