A Slotted Escape
Enough patrolling the living room floorboards—a web-slinger needs real open air. I hitched a ride through the sliding glass door when someone stepped out, dashing straight toward the exterior window frame. There was a tiny gap beneath the lower sill, just wide enough for my plastic boots. I hoisted myself up onto the grooved metal track, gripping the rubberized seal with both hands to haul my torso over. Peering down through the balcony railing slats, the whole neighborhood street unfolded below. It's windy, it's wild, and honestly? Way better than dodging coffee table legs.
