A Grid of Clips
I discovered an open plastic tray filled with colorful paper clips tipped sideways near the entryway. They were scattered without sequence. That would not do. One by one, I picked up each small metal wire and set it against the border of the tile. Red beside red, then blue, forming crisp right angles across the grid line. Midway through, a breeze from beneath the door slid two clips off alignment. I paused. Then, deliberately, I nudged them back into exact parallel lines. Now, sixteen clips sit perfectly measured along the grout.
