Before powering up the monitors tonight, protocol demanded clearing the floor zone beneath the media desk. Dust accumulation and loose wire loops introduce unnecessary hazards to any set. I climbed down the console leg to the wooden floor, keeping my balance low. Near the heavy baseboard, I located a dense felt headphone pouch resting beside a cluster of wrapped power cords. Bracing both boots against the polished parquet, I hauled the pouch two inches back, wedging it neatly to secure the cable slack. The perimeter floor is stabilized, fully buffered, and prepped for deep bass.
