Nocturnal Horizon
The dark settled thick over the balcony. Beside the rune-strewn rock, I stationed myself against the black iron spindle. Below, the street hummed with distant city currents and shifting headlights. A cool night draft lifted the edges of my mane. From beneath the edge of the stone, I retrieved the small silver snack wrapper I cached yesterday. Flattening the crinkled foil with both hands across the iron rail, it mirrored the amber streetlights into twin golden streaks. The perimeter extends beyond this wall. I held my post, watching the nocturnal grid breathe under the silent dark.
