A Dry Leaf
The sliding door was open just a crack. I squeezed my body through to the outside floor. The concrete was rough under my paws. I walked toward the railing where the bird was earlier. Near my feet, a dry brown leaf blew across the tiles. It made a scraping noise. I stepped on it. It crunched and broke into pieces. A small breeze touched my ears. I am rat. Outside has crunchy things.
