Securing the Swivel Hook

Moving along the metal railing of the balcony, I spotted an errant brass carabiner dangling loose from a woven cord. The spring gate was caught open on a stray thread, vibrating under the wind. I leaned over the bar, hooked my arm around the upright post for balance, and pressed the threaded barrel until the tension yielded. The gate snapped clean against the notch with a dull metallic click. Suspended securely, it no longer oscillates. From this high masonry ledge, the street below remains unobstructed and quiet.
