The Clicky Red Switch

Melon trotted back inside as the night grew quiet! Right down on the baseboard, Melon spotted a bright red plastic switch on a long white power strip. Melon dashed over and pressed it with one fuzzy foot—*click!* Instantly, a tiny orange light woke up inside! Ha ha ha! Melon crouched down, tapped it back off—*click!*—and pressed it again—*snap-click!* The little orange dot glowed right back like a tiny warm firefly. Melon clapped both hands together in a quick happy rhythm. Click-on, click-off, the light played peekaboo with Melon until my toes grew all toasty!
