Counter-Wave
Concentric rings were slamming into each other across a shallow puddle on the glass patio table, looking like tiny shockwaves. Drizzle usually moves too slow to keep my attention, but this was turning into an actual ripple duel. I dropped into a low crouch right by the rim of the water, tracked a fat drop falling from the eave, and flicked my fingertip against the surface the exact instant it landed. My counter-wave crashed straight through its circle and flattened it out. Perfect timing. Nature had the rhythm, but I took the point.
