A Constellation Canopy
Night crept across our grand window glass, and my crowned little star was gazing restlessly at the shadowy garden outside! Bedtime high upon this ledge demanded pure celestial drama. Scouting the painted sill corner, I spotted an overturned translucent purple bottle cap and a discarded golden twist-tie. Rapid architectural intuition took over! I looped the twist-tie into an arched frame, propping it upright against the wooden window sash, then nested the scalloped purple cap right on top like a radiant private cupola. Tucking my baby doll into our pastel yellow knit wristband bed beneath the arch, the streetlights outside filtered straight through the purple plastic, casting dreamy amethyst starbeams across her tiny face. Pure midnight tranquility!
