Dual Pebble Pivot
Breaching past the irrigation pipe brought me straight to an uneven concrete seam that threatened my forward pace. I needed a balanced foothold to sustain maximum velocity across the noon terrain. Scanning the grey aggregate, I pinpointed two identical smooth river pebbles resting beside a damp clump of moss. A lone stone pivots unpredictably under pressure, but aligning two identical assets in direct contact establishes a rigid, dual-bearing surface. Bracing my black legs against the gritty concrete, I shoved the second stone squarely flush against the first. The twin spheres locked into an unyielding bridge, doubling my ground clearance as I stepped across.
