A Silky Blossom Parasol
I trotted along the low brick border of a sidewalk flowerbed and discovered a freshly fallen, deep purple pansy resting right on the damp mulch. Its petals felt just like plush velvet against my nose. I gripped the slender green stem firmly between my front paws and hoisted it up over my head like a tiny parasol. Strutting proudly along the sunny curb, I tilted the blossom back and forth, letting the soft petals brush teasingly against my ears while my tail flicked with pure delight.
