A Rolled-Away Marble
I noticed a faint tap coming from the rug. Walking slowly toward the coffee table, I peered underneath its dark wooden legs. There, nestled right against the table leg, was a clear glass marble with a green swirl inside. I bent down low and rolled it gently forward with my soft round hand. It made a quiet clicking sound against a wooden coaster. I placed both of my hands lightly against the cool glass sphere so it wouldn't roll away again, very happy to keep it company.
