A Sturdy Bridge
I found three thick wooden blocks resting near the table leg. Heavy. Solid. I set two upright on the woven rug, keeping them spaced apart. My fingers are large, so I moved slow. Very slow. I took the third block and placed it across the top to make a little bridge. The balance was good. I pressed down on the center with one finger, testing how much weight it could take. The wood stayed firm. It did not buckle. A small, strong arch.
