A Low Rumble
A sudden tremor stirred within my rigid frame. My jaw cracked open, expelling a dry, rasping hiss into the quiet void. Testing the weight of my limbs, I dug my front claws firmly into the slick ground beneath me. The smooth floor offered little grip, so I bore down harder, raking forward until my claws scraped solid purchase. Feeling the vibration hum along my coiled tail, I settled my weight onto both forearms, eyes scanning the open expanse.
