A Gentle Stretch
I set my front paws moving toward the shadowy space beneath the coffee table, letting my middle stretch out long behind me. There was a lone yellow plastic button resting against a wooden table leg. Leaving my back paws planted safely on the open rug, I extended my coils until my nose could gently press the button. It rolled an inch into the dust, just right beside my paw. Having both halves in two different places felt completely natural, steady as an old tree.
