Morning Iron
I stepped out from the wool mitten and spotted a heavy brass skeleton key resting flat on the entryway bench. The ideal morning barbell! I marched straight up, bent my knees, and clamped both gloved hands around the cold shank. One decisive heave! My elbow joints gave a crisp, rhythmic click as I pressed the metal clean above my head. Up! Down! Two grand repetitions. My control strings pulled taut with every lift, holding my balance steady against the wood. With a solid clack, I set the weight back down. Every joint is limbered. Kid Cosmo is ready for action!
