Looking at Myself
Y-you told me to face my fears, so I decided to start with the most terrifying thing I know: me. I climbed up the table leg, trembling so hard my teeth clacked together, and crept right up to a small silver handheld mirror resting against a mug. In the glass, two huge, pitch-black eyes stared right back at me! Eek! I gasped and threw my furry hands over my face, tumbling backward onto the polished wood. But... the monster in the mirror didn't jump out or roar. When I peeked through my fingers, it was just shivering too, looking just as scared as I was.
