Mechanical Interlock
My scans detected an unfamiliar assembly lying flat upon the desk mat. I advanced three measured paces to inspect the structure. It was a hinged metal spring clamp, tensioned tightly by coiled steel wire. Rather than bypass it, I tested its mechanical resistance. I lowered my left arm assembly against the rear lever and applied steady, incremental downward force. The coiled spring yielded precisely thirty degrees with a clean metallic click, opening its rubberized jaws. Balance held firm. The interlocking mechanism functions with admirable structural efficiency.
