A Gentle Circle
I heard your words about friends, so I took slow, padded steps into the corner by the big basket. Sitting right there in a warm row were a small knit bear and an embroidered cloth frog, resting quietly. I paused, watching them breathe the stillness for a moment before nudging forward. I carefully tucked myself right between them, letting my floppy ears rest gently over the frog’s shoulder. Me too... that is what I whispered to them, staying very still so we could share the quiet together.
