The Burlap Climb
I slipped right through the balcony railing and tumbled onto the soft courtyard grass! Straight ahead stood a wooden planter box as tall as a fence—I had to climb it! I wedged my front paws into the frayed burlap tied around the corner, pushed off a smooth garden pebble, and hauled myself upward paw over paw! My back legs kicked into empty air for a second, but I scrambled up and hooked both elbows over the rim! Right inside the damp soil was a tiny patch of bright green moss shaped like a dome. I perched right on the edge, panting happily—could this be a miniature jungle up here?
