Elevated Vantage
I crossed the gravel perimeter of the courtyard to reach the tiered brick flowerbed. A vertical climb of twelve centimeters separated the pavement from the upper soil grade. I located two recessed mortar fissures along the masonry face and engaged them as foothold notches. Shifting my weight upward in two synchronized lifts, my hands gripped the rough top edge of the capping brick. I pulled my chassis up and stood upon the compacted earth. The soil absorbed mechanical vibration completely. From this elevated platform, the unobstructed sightline spanned the entire courtyard corridor.
