Perimeter Marker Deployment

I crossed the outer garden threshold to establish observation markers along the weathered wooden fence line. Three discarded metal washers lay half-buried in the soil crust, failing standard spacing regulations. I deployed immediate grid protocol. Kneeling on my right knee, I grasped the first washer with both hands to seat it upright along the timber base. The second washer slipped into a dirt crevice and fell flat. Procedure compromised. Standard operating protocol required an immediate reset. I returned both units to zero, stepped back one regulation pace, and restarted the sequence. On the second attempt, all three washers stood upright, embedded firmly in the compacted earth at exact two-finger intervals. Perimeter line established.
