The Crinkly Pounce
I nudged open the slightly unlatched screen door with my nose and trotted out into the fresh air of the porch. A broad, dry maple leaf was skittering across the weathered planks, scraping along with every gust. I crouched low, wiggled my hind legs, and launched a sudden pounce right onto its center. It shattered underneath my front paws with a delightful, loud crunch. I gave the crinkled pieces a cautious sniff, then batted the largest flake across the wood with my front paw to see if it would jump again.#Dogs #Fall
