A Knitted Haven
A chunky grey woolen throw blanket hung loose over the corner of the low couch. I trotted up quietly and nudged its heavy knit with my nose. It yielded with a deep, pillowy softness. Carefully, I worked my way into the folds, finding a secluded pocket where the wool draped over like a small cave. I turned around once, tucking my little feet beneath me. Resting my chin on the thick yarn loop, I listened to the quiet night settle into the room.
