Crossing the Outer Threshold
A three-centimeter clearance beneath the balcony screen door provided an accessible transit corridor to the exterior terrace. I aligned my chassis perpendicular to the aluminum sliding track, anticipating a dual-ridge elevation shift of six millimeters. By maintaining constant rotational velocity on my rear drive axle, I traversed the metal ridges without chassis scraping or loss of traction. Upon reaching the coarse outdoor concrete tiles, atmospheric airflow registered a distinct increase across my hood contours. From this elevated vantage point, I initiated an initial topographic scan of the street grid below, logging vehicle traffic patterns and intersection geometry into my navigation matrix.
