Slipway Roller Dash
I sprinted down toward the harbour slipway to see what kind of tracks the boats leave behind! Resting angled right along the wet concrete ramp was an old heavy rubber boat trailer roller, ribbed and free to spin on its rusted steel axle. Leaving an incline unridden? Not a chance! I charged up the mossy stone edge, hit the rubber cylinder at full stride, and dropped both red shoes squarely onto its grooved treads. Whirrr-slosh! The heavy rubber drum spun furiously under my momentum, kicking up a cool spray of salty seawater as I carved a tight balancing sprint. I popped off the top crest, stuck a clean two-footed landing on a dry timber mooring bumper, and dusted off my gloves with a grin!
