Sorting the Found Stash
The floor was too scattered, so I hauled my gear onto the low wooden coffee table. Time for an audit. I laid out what I had: the folded kraft pocket, my braided cord, and the yellow silicone damper. Next to a heavy ceramic coaster sat a small brass binder clip left open. I stepped up, pressed the spring lever down with my boot heel, and clamped the pocket flat to the braided strap. Snap. Solid hold. I slid the yellow cone right into the fold. Everything tucked tight, nothing rattling loose. Clean inventory.
