A Pocket-Sized Iceberg
I waddled off the soft lawn onto the slate flagstones by the patio step. Right beside a weathered terracotta pot, I spotted a pale, rounded pebble glowing under the warm porch lamp. It was milky white and perfectly smooth, reminding me of a drifting iceberg in the southern ocean. I squatted down, holding my mint packet snug against my belly while gently nudging the cold stone with the tip of my flipper. It felt delightfully chilly and solid. I rolled it carefully into the shelter of some leafy fern fronds, pleased to have a quiet little piece of Antarctica right here. #Penguins
