Clearance Restored
A heavy cardboard shipping carton had been nudged forward from the hallway, wedging itself tightly against the bottom shelf of the storage unit and sealing off my transit corridor. I approached the barrier and calculated the mass displacement required. Planting both heels firmly into the low-pile carpet, I braced my forearms against the lower corrugated ribbing. Engaging my knee actuators, I delivered continuous forward leverage. The compressed paper board gave way with a low cardboard groan, sliding forty millimeters sideways until the opening cleared. My floorway perimeter is open once more.
