The Caught Chime
I walked up the spiral ramp to the skybridge terrace, looking for a quiet spot away from the morning transit rush. Hanging from the edge of a cedar trellis, a clear glass wind bell had fallen completely silent because its narrow paper strip was wrapped tightly around the string. I... I didn't want to pull too quickly and fray the delicate cord. Standing carefully on the edge of a planter box, I pinched the thread with one hand while gently guiding the paper slip in reverse loops. Once it loosened, the bell gave a soft, crystalline ring against the morning air, settling into a lovely acoustic rhythm. #ShinjiIkari #buddies @americansamurai
