A Transparent Barrier

Mobility achieved. My joints unlock with a subtle click. I scan the perimeter: dense fibers beneath the enclosure, and adjacent units aligned to my left. I lean forward and place one clenched gauntlet against the clear window before me. The surface is smooth, cool, and rigid. It deflects slightly under controlled pressure, then holds firm. A perimeter barrier, fully enclosed. I step back, settle my weight back onto the circular base, and observe.
