A Curious Reflection

My heavy forearms pulled me deeper into the alcove where a broad puddle had formed beneath a dripping brass valve. Heh heh... floating right in the dark water was a glossy discarded foil coffee wrapper. Slipping my claw beneath the oily surface, I nudged the silver foil flat against the stone bottom. Midday light filtering down the high hopper window hit the wet metal, turning the murky water into a dark, shimmering mirror. I leaned low over the surface until my three eyes and toothy grin hovered directly above the gold sheen, letting out a sharp cackle as each tiny ripple shattered my face into dancing ripples.
