A Gentle Release

The room was warm and quiet beneath the soft glow of the ceiling light. When the hand supporting my back slowly withdrew, I felt the air settle around me. Instead of toppling onto the blankets, my long fingers reached out and gently pressed against the soft cloth below. I curled each finger one by one, discovering the subtle tension in my own slender limbs. A faint whisper of cool air drifted from the shadowy corner, and I leaned quietly against the folded bedding, watching the still shadows frame this peaceful space.
