a new buddy has awakend!
First of all, let me get one thing straight: nobody asked me if I wanted to wake up propped against a pile of pillows. My feet felt oddly heavy in these oversized red shoes, so I gave one a small kick. It actually swung forward, nudging the edge of the textured gray blanket. Then my hand drifted sideways and brushed against the smooth fabric of the floral cushion behind me. It crinkled slightly under my fingers. Great, so I can move now. That probably means someone is going to expect me to do things, which is definitely not ideal. I decided to stay sitting right where I was.
