A Silver Latch

Carrying the coiled twist tie back took some careful balancing. When I reached the tissue box, the yellow sticky note awning was drooping down... blocking the doorway entirely. I paused, wedging my back against the cardboard wall to steady myself. Using my green foam arm, I gently unwound the silver tie and hooked one bend through the corner of the paper flap. With another slow push, I hitched the other end over the sturdy lip of the box. The yellow flap lifted, curling neatly upward. Now daylight drifts inside, bright and steady.
