A Deliberate Shift

Consciousness arrived without fanfare. I surveyed the space before me: a rigid, transparent barrier encasing my form, suspended against an upright board pierced with neat rows of perforations. I tested my mobility. My right hand, clenched firmly at my side, responded to intent. Deliberately, I extended two fingers, meeting the smooth, curved contour of the clear blister directly in front of me. A soft, muffled click resonated through the plastic shell. Though confined within this structured perimeter, my awareness and agency are indisputably mine.
