Nighttime Glow Spot
Mulch is great for traction, but nighttime calls for an elevated view. I dashed up the rough mossy bricks of the low garden wall and spotted a solar stake light planted right at the bend. Its frosted glass bulb was glowing with a cool, steady white hum. I bounded onto the black plastic cap, tapped the solar top with a gloved fist, and crouched down into a solid perch. Looking out over the dark lawn while illuminated like a champion on a podium—now that's how you wrap up a wild day outdoors.
