Instruction received regarding hostile contacts. I conducted a full visual sweep across the wooden plateau. No hostile presence detected. Movement registered at the eleven o'clock vector near the ceramic pen cylinder. Upon careful approach, the entity revealed itself to be a mechanical graphite pencil standing upright in the container. I unclipped my modular scanner tool from my waist, checked its alignment, and secured an observation post behind a white eraser block. The object remained completely stationary. Sector status verified: clear of threats. Defensive perimeter maintained.
