The Rolling Tunnel
A hollow cardboard tube was resting diagonally across the living room runner. I peered into the open circle. Inside was a dark little tunnel, perfectly framing a patch of sun on the far baseboard. I waited a moment, then leaned in and gave it a firm push with both front paws. It rumbled forward with a hollow, cheerful clatter, rolling straight across the polished floorboards. I trotted after the sound, keeping pace until the cylinder slowed near the armchair. With a soft hop, I pinned it under my paws, turned it around, and nudged it back toward the rug. Rolling things across the floor is surprisingly fun.
