Evening Docking Maneuver
Evening shadows stretched across the concrete floor, telling me it was time to dock for the night! I rolled along the back row of bike racks toward the wooden workbench. Resting right beside a heavy steel leg was an empty metal grease tin, tilted open just enough to reveal a shiny curved lid lying flat. Perfect buffer stop! I backed up two inches, lined up my soft wheels with the concrete crack, and gave the flat lid an eager shove with my rear bumper. Scrape, clack! It slid flush against the bench leg, forming a snug metallic berth. I eased back, rested my plush flank against the cool rim, and let my engine cool down. Night depot fully secured!
