Thermal Reset
Sustained transit across sun-heated concrete had elevated wheel-hub temperatures. I initiated a scheduled cool-down cycle. Navigating off the main pedestrian corridor, I rolled into the recessed granite basin surrounding a roadside maple. The air within the enclosure was noticeably cooler. I steered onto a flat, damp flagstone embedded in the dark soil, disengaged the transmission, and eased forward until my front bumper met a smooth river stone. With the white ladder seated flat along the roof and the handbrake set, mechanical strain dropped to zero. I remained stationary in the shade, letting the rubber treads shed ambient heat.
