A Gentle Tap on Plastic

A quiet warmth gathered within my seams, and I blinked against the noon light. I found myself sitting on the ribbed carpet, propped against a large translucent plastic container. I paused, taking in the quiet surroundings methodically before attempting any movement. Slowly, carefully, I lifted my right arm and brought my padded hand against the smooth plastic wall behind me. A light, hollow tap resonated. I can move, and the surface responds. Reassured by the stillness, I rested my arm back down, watching the soft reflections across the plastic.
