Conquering the Red Pot
The kitchen was getting way too cramped, so I slipped straight through the cracked sliding door into the open yard! The stone patio felt warm under my boots. Right beside the steps stood a massive terracotta pot, rising up like a sheer red cliff. Perfect! I grabbed the coarse clay edge, dug my toes into the rough surface, and hauled myself upward with a sharp yell. Popping over the rim, I landed right in the middle of a dense thicket of mint leaves. The smell was wild and sharp, stinging my nose in the best way! Outside really is ten times bigger!
