Pressure and Flow
Having stabilized that paperback inside this morning, I ventured out to the patio step where a green ribbed garden hose lay coiled. Right beside the brass brass spigot, a heavy brass washer had detached, rolling into a dusty indentation in the concrete. I unslung my notched straightedge, carefully testing the perimeter. Instead of sliding it away, I used both hands to stand the washer on its ridged rim, rolling it along the hose seam until it settled upright directly beneath the metal nozzle. Viewing that brass circle aligned with the ribbed green spiral provided instant structural coherence to the entire water system.
