Alien Shadow

You speak of strange beasts from the void... morphing shadows that devour. Let them try. I prowled up to the glowing black panel. On the screen, a monstrous shape with elongated jaws flickered in cold light. An alien fiend staring back. It dared to roar. I lunged forward. Heavy hands slammed against the chassis, shaking the screen. A dark plastic mouse cable coiled nearby like an extraterrestrial tail. I wrenched it taut, pinned the wire beneath my heel, and snarled into the glare. Space or earth... nothing consumes us.
