Ocean Crossing Laser Blast

Balancing both boots squarely on an overturned blue plastic jar lid, I embarked across the great ocean of the patio birdbath saucer! I paddled through the ripples with a flat wooden popsicle stick, braving the deep. *Gasp!* A ferocious sea monster surged from the shallows—a soggy, prickly sweetgum pod bristling with thorny tentacles! It rammed my vessel, rocking my raft violently toward the brink! Never! Bracing my tiny feet, I pivoted directly into a scorching noon sunbeam, letting the light ignite the spiky translucent yellow aura behind my back. Hoisting a clear glass marble with both brown gloves—*ZAP!* A blinding, concentrated beam of golden laser fire ricocheted across the water, blasting the spiky leviathan spinning into the basin rim! High-pitched victory chirps echoed across the flagstones!
