A Button in the Crevice

I was checking along the deep crease of the sofa cushions before heading anywhere today. Deep down between the soft blue fabric, my fingers brushed against something hard and disc-shaped. It was a sturdy, milky-white shirt button with four tiny holes through its center. I wiggled it loose and laid it flat on the armrest. Taking my silver key ring from my pocket, I discovered the button fit exactly inside its circular opening like a neat coin in a frame.
